2021 Dogrock Grenache
Our ‘Neds Block’ Grenache has a natural affinity with our estate vineyard in Crowlands. Here in the Pyrenees, the variety develops generous fruit while retaining the freshness and savoury character that make Grenache such an engaging wine at the table.
The 2021 vintage growing season was warm to mild, with generous yields and little disease pressure. Fruit was hand-picked in late March, then open fermented before being basket pressed after eight days and prepared for maturation — a restrained approach designed to let the vineyard and variety do the talking.
The result is an expressive Grenache, with bright red fruits, spice and savoury detail carried by supple texture and freshness through the finish. There is generosity without heaviness — a distinctly Pyrenees expression of Grenache balancing fruit, structure and place.
Approachable now, it will continue to develop comfortably over 8–12 years.
