The Degraves Road Reserve represents the pinnacle of Shiraz at Dogrock — selected from ‘Todds Block’ at our estate vineyard in Crowlands, where Shiraz has long been at home in the landscape of Victoria’s Pyrenees. Carefully selected fruit and patient winemaking create an expression of a particular place within our vineyard and one of the region’s defining varieties.

Our 2024 growing season was warm with low disease pressure, allowing fruit from Todds Block to ripen early. The grapes were hand-picked before gentle basket pressing, then matured for 14 months with 60% new Trancais single-forest French oak. Concentration and refinement come together, with classic Shiraz spice and pepper aromatics leading into a full-bodied, structured palate.

There is depth and power here, but also precision — dark fruit, pepper, spice and savoury detail are framed by fine tannins and carefully integrated French oak. Concentration is balanced by freshness and length, creating a Shiraz compelling in its youth but built with the structure and composure to evolve over decades.

Enjoy now with time in the glass, or cellar confidently for 15–25 years.
